Hello! My name is Nicholas Taliceo and I’m about to tell you a little bit about myself.
I grew up in western Massachusetts. I was born in Springfield, MA, raised in Feeding Hills, MA, and attended the Agawam Public Schools System for both my primary and secondary education. I attended Agawam High School (Fall 2008 – Spring 2012), and throughout my time there, participated in numerous activities, including the AHS Marching Mohawks, AHS Concert Band, the National Honor Society, the Spanish National Honor Society, and Key Club.
After high school, I remained living in Feeding Hills while attending Westfield State University (Fall 2012 – Spring 2016), located in Westfield, MA. There, I pursued a B.A. in Mathematics, while also obtaining a minor in Earth Systems Science and certification in Geographic Information Systems (GIS). While at Westfield State University, I was an active member of the Math Club, Phi Kappa Phi, Pi Mu Epsilon, and Lambda Sigma honor societies, and the WSU Honors Program. I also completed a Research Experience for Undergraduates, which, along with support from the Honors Program, culminated in my Honors Thesis titled, “Intercardinal Adjacencies: A New Landscape Metric”.
I am currently pursuing an M.S. degree in Geospatial Information Sciences at the University of Texas at Dallas, with an anticipated graduation date of May 2018.
I have many additional interests, including, but not limited to: cooking, golfing, watching movies, listening to music, running, biking, hiking, and reading. When appropriate, I will occasionally add information about these and more topics on my Interests Page.
